CPDA COVID-19 GUIDELINES FOR FALL 2020

Dear Dancers and Families,

I hope this finds the entire CPDA Community Healthy and safe. We are looking forward to seeing our kids dancing again, as we open our Fall 2020-2021 registration. We have worked hard to create the safest environment possible for our dancers, parents, and faculty. The following information is based on the state's Phase 3 COVID guidelines and we will keep you updated on any changes.

We ask that you prepare your dancer for the new environment at CPDA. The Floors in both studios are marked with the 6-foot safety space for each Dancer and Teacher. All dancers are required to stay in their space. Please remind your dancer they must stay in their own private square in each class. No Hand-holding, high fives, or hugging, but air high fives are acceptable.

Class Sizes will be limited as required by our Phase 2 and 3 guidelines. Ages 7 and over, up to 11 students and one teacher. Ages 2.5 to 6, up to 10 students / 1 teacher and 1 Assistant. Class sizes will be cut off at these limits so registering early once the schedule is out is imperative.

We understand that some families may not feel comfortable coming back into the studio right away, we will offer a Zoom option for anyone interested. There will be a place for you to check and sign for a Zoom option on our new registration form.

Class Schedules for the Fall may vary in times from 10-15 minutes to accommodate traffic control when leaving one class to another or when entering and leaving the studio, as well as the time needed to clean studios and bathrooms.

We ask that you follow us on Instagram and Facebook for all the latest updates. We look forward to seeing our dancers once again in the studio or virtually dancing!

Here are some of the guidelines to help ensure a healthy and safe environment at CPDA.

  1. Dancers must arrive no earlier than 5 mins before their class is set to begin. Our waiting room is closed until further notice. We ask parents to stay in their cars until we unlock the door and a CPDA staff member steps outside. You must wear a mask to enter and exit the studio and any hallways and bathrooms. You will be let in one by one as you stand on the 6 feet distance purple tape to the left of our door. Once inside you will use our touchless hand sanitizers on the wall.
  2. No parents may enter the studio with dancers 7 and over. Dancers ages 3-6 may have one adult enter with a mask and maintaining social distancing regulations. Once inside you can take your child’s jacket and shoes and exit the studio so we can allow the next dancer in. This will be the same as your dancer exits the studio once the class has ended. Parents must be on time for pick up.
  3. Dancers will be brought into their dance room by their teacher, and they will go to their 6x6 square marked by tape on the floor. NEW! The Saugus Board of Health along with the state of Massachusetts COVID 19 guidelines state that all dancers 5 yrs and older must wear a mask while dancing.
  4. Dancers must arrive dressed and ready for class. Dancers are not allowed to change in our bathrooms. Dance bags and or backpacks are not allowed in the studios. Dance Shoes must be carried into the studio or brought in a small cinch bag, where they will be placed in individual white baskets.
  5. All dancers should bring their own water bottle with their name clearly written, our water bubbler is shut off for now. Snacks and food are not allowed inside the studio at any time.
  6. Once the class is over, the teacher will dismiss each dancer one by one social distancing and wearing their mask. They will be asked to use the hand sanitizer again before we send them out to you. Parents of dancers must stand outside to the left of our door when picking up. We will not send your dancer out to you unless we see you. Parents/ Guardians must be prompt for Pick up!
  7. When registering for classes you must sign our waiver form in full and have filled out our COVID 19 Questions before the start of the dance week. Without this, your child will not be able to participate in their dance class. All forms must be filled out online.
  8. We encourage families to make tuition payments through Pay Pal as well as check or cash which can be dropped off through our mail slot in our main door. If tuition is not received by the 7th of the month a late fee of $15.00 will be added to your monthly statement.

COVID SCREENING QUESTIONS

At the start of each week you send your child to the studio, please review the COVID Questions and submit them. If you forget, we do have a QR code on our front door that you can scan and submit.
